The Study On Project Management Mode Of The Shanty Area’s Reconstruction In Western

Accompanied by the pace of accelerating the construction of urbanization in thewestern region, the reconstruction of shanty area has been increased. The localgovernment in the case of increased construction investment, which had ever beenwith heavy financial burden, is frequently encountered in the process of projectimplementation and management issues. Aimed at the blindness on the choice of thatkind of mode, it is necessary to use modern project management mode withsystematic theory and method, which ensures the smooth implementation ofgovernment investment projects.The thesis carries out the research in the above background. Firstly, there issystematic analysis of management problems during the shanty area reconstruction inwestern region. The analysis is from some aspects such as investment, quality,schedule, contract and risk, summarized and induces in the view of government whois the owner. Secondly, the main factors which take the choice of management modelinto consideration will be introduced in details in western region of our country. Localeconomic developing situation, managerial and technical level and the particularity ofnature environment may restrict the government’s decision-making in the actualconstruction. Thirdly, there are three kinds of general traffic engineering projectmanagement model both at home and abroad introduced in the following context:DBB (Design, Bid, Build), EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction)and PMC(Project Management Contract), mainly analyzed in the characteristics and applicablescope of various patterns and the feasibility of construction in the western region. Atthe same time, because of the responsibility of government compared with theposition in the project, it puts forward the guideline of choosing project managementmodel.The thesis use the analytic hierarchy process in system engineering projectmanagement model was put forward to optimize selection of quantitative analysismodel, through the judgment matrix of sorting, calculated decision index weight. As aresult, it can carry on the comprehensive evaluation on the management pattern andbe scientific decision-making and systematic management reference in construction of such projects. Finally, the strategy and suggestion will be proposed in the reform ofmanagement system of project, etc, during a shanty area’s reconstruction in thewestern region.
