During China’s "Eleventh Five-Year" development period, with the guidance of the "harmonious rail" policy carried on by the Railways Ministry of China and the spirit of innovation and practice, the technology level of China’s railway freight cars has been improved fleetly, achieving two goal—higher speed and heavy duty. The railway transport capacity and transport efficiency has increased significantly. More than60million freight wagons are able to be operated in the speed of120km/h. The capacity of all-purpose gondola has been upgraded from60t class to70t, and some coal dedicated gondola can load80t.5000t~6000t freight trains are generally operated on current lines. Now Line Datong-Qinhuangdao can bear10000t, even20000t weight heavy haul trains. The railway wagon reliability was raised significantly, the failure rate reduced by a large scale, meeting the requirement of safety and high efficiency and helping the national economy developing perfectly. Rail freight capacity in China still can not meet the needs of economy development, and the load updating from60t class to70t did not make it to take full advantage of the total carrying capacity of the current lines, so heavy haul wagon is the only way. Besides, gondolas are the most typical wagon used in China’s railway transportation, accounting for about60percent of China’s current total number of wagons.In this paper, the80t-class generic Gondola is taken for the analysis.Referring to current domestic and foreign generic Gondola developing actuality, in this paper its technical matters are discussed from the following aspects. Firstly the various constraints that developing80t-class general-purpose gondola needs to face are systematically analyzed, and conclusions that some of the current lines have to be renewed are obtained. Secondly based on the economic benefit of developing heavy goods vehicles, it expounds the question how to choose technical parameters. And then to handle the typical failure of the current generic gondolas, it brings some proposals into designing key components, aimed at improving benefit and reducing life cycle cost. Subsequently based on the practice situation of the railway in the country, the general idea and designing goals of a new type of80t-class general-purpose gondola are proposed, and the overall technical program is concluded. The design is calculated and analyzed under the reliability designing concept. In the end of the paper, it demonstrates the technical feasibility of the design, in order to ensure the product has practical significance, thus the entire design process of the80t-class generic Gondola is completed.The findings of the paper provide some theoretical basis on developing80t-class general-purpose gondola, and they may introduce some practical value into improving the overall level of China’s wagon designing technology. |
