The hybrid seismic isolation system, consisting of the SMA strands-laminate rubberbearing combined with magneto rheological damper,was explored, for the sake of improvingseismic isolation efect of the SMA strands-laminate rubber bearing under great earthquake,especially when level shear deformation of SMA rubber bearing is bigger.So does itsmechanical model. In this paper,we compare the SMA strands-laminate rubber bearingwith the hybrid seismic isolation system. Simulation analysis results indicate that thehybrid seismic isolation system is able to achieve both low interstory drift andacceleration and,at the same lime,limit the base displacement.The security of isolatedstructure was improved largely.In this paper, the research content and innovation points:(1)Introduces the research and development of structure control technology and theadvantages and disadvantages of several structure control.(2) Introduced the composition of SMA strands-laminate rubber bearing, laminated rubberbearing and SMA (shape memory alloy) and its mechanical properties.(3)In the SMA strands-laminate rubber bearing base, introduced hybrid control system ofstructure vibration and damping principle, mechanical model and motion equation.(4)In the SMA strands-laminate rubber bearing base, we compare the SMAstrands-laminate rubber bearing with the hybrid seismic isolation system. Simulation analysisresults indicate that the hybrid seismic isolation system is able to achieve both low interstorydrift and acceleration and,at the same lime,limit the base displacement.The security of isolatedstructure was improved largely.
