As the development of the reform and opening up and economy, from thesimple and daily to diverse need, from the thrifty and public to enjoyment andpersonal consumption value, people’s need is increasing and changing. Hence, beingthe medium between commodity and consumer, commercial building is alsoexpediting the development of itself. At the same time, the inner public space plays avery important role.The consumption value of people living in Guangzhou is more conservativecompared to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hongkong and other big-scale cities.However, their value is changing to enjoyment and personal because of the progressof economy, especially in Tianhe district. In Tianhe district, Tianhe Plaza, ZhengjiaPlaza and Hongcheng Plaza are the main commercial circle, but later, several highlevel shopping mall, like Taigu Plaza and One Link Walk, are leading a new life.The thesis, basing on the study background and the trend of development, willcompare, conclude and summary the data by analyzing the inner public space ofTaigu Plaza, One Walk Link and Tianhe Plaza. And then it will find out the reason oftheir difference of operation condition, their features, advantage and disadvantage.ALL these are helpful to study what design is suitable to the inner public space ofbig-scale commercial building in Guangzhou.The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part, Chapter1and preface, isintroducing the subjects studied in the thesis, study background, purpose, value, casestudies from in and outside China, content, method and structure.The second part, Chapter2, is making definition. Basing on the developmentbackground of commercial buildings integrated with the behavior psychology ofconsumption, it will analyze structure and combination of the inner public space ofbig-scale commercial building.The third part, Chapter3, is making three large commercial buildings,as theTaikoo Hui, the Onelink and Teem,for the study, to analyze its internal public spacefrom the space of the three functions, modes of transportation, and space environmental perspective, were analyzed and summarizedsummary, to find out thereasons and space caused by the gap of the commercial operations of the three stateperformance characteristics obtained internal public space, combined with survey datato summarize the experience for future large commercial buildings in Guangzhouinternal publicspace designed to provide a reference.The fourth part,Chapter4, is predicting the trend of development of big-scalecommercial building in Guangzhou. Furthermore, it concludes three types of trend:theme, mutual experience and integrated big-scale commercial building.Peroration is summary of the study result and making expectation.
