Due to the thirty years’ development of reform and opening up in China,primary and secondary infrastructure level has been greatly improved. State andlocal party, government and all circles of society have attached great importanceto the school construction and also actively involved in to it. Therefore, manynew campus constructed with elaborate design emerged in large number.Because of regional differences in economic development level and historicalbequeath problem, there are still many constructions with poor engineeringquality, especially with the week capacity of earthquake prevention and disasterreduction. For instance, the WenChuan Earthquake leaves us a painful lesson.Therefore, The Party Central Committee and the State Council made a greatdecision-making of the implementation of School Safety Project with SSP in briefas below. May2009, the state council has all-roundly deployed the "securityschools" project.Within three years, the seismic capacity of primary and secondary schoolsshould be improved, including seismic reinforcement and migration to improve thecomprehensive capability of disaster prevention in some mass prone areas likethe key area of earthquake surveillance and protection, high seismic intensiveareas above seven grade, flood prone areas, areas of landslides and debris flows.While in other areas, the D reconstruction and reinforcement of local dangerousC grade school should be focused and carried on to eliminate damage, which shouldanswer to the requirements of seismic reinforcement and comprehensive disasterprevention.This paper will research on some aspects combing the author’s experienceon School Safety Project. By collecting the data, problems related to the dailyinvestigation of School Safety and the technology on appraiser and strengtheningare put forward.The result of the study and research pay a line on improving the seismiccapacity of primary and secondary schools, which make the schools meet the seismic fortification standards. In this case, the security of elementary and middleschools can be guaranteed and the concept of people oriented and educationpriority be reflected well.
