With the rapid development of economic, masses of power electronic equipments are accessed as resulting in the harmonics in power system. It makes grave effect to electric energy metering on accuracy and fairness. Thus, it is of great significance to reducing harmonic distortions to the maximum extent.The paper introduces the related definitions, adverse effects of the harmonics and the main control measures. Electric energy metering with harmonic is analysed in two aspects of accuracy and fairness, and measures of reducing the effect of harmonics on energy metering are also summarized. This paper also introduces the basic principles, classifications and control methods of active power filter with one-cycle control (OCC-APF), and presents systematically a controlling model for single-phase active power filter with one-cycle control. What is more, it explains the rationality of introducing the significant signal Vm in the perspective of power balance and hardware implementation, analyzes the stead-state process of single-phase active power filter with one-cycle control through an example, and analyzes some relative selection principles of important parameters, which can give the guidance for parameters calculating.Finally,this paper has built an one-cycle control model of single-phase and three-phase, and carried out some simulation. The simulation results verify that the active power filter based on one-cycle can effectually compensate the reactive power and harmonics current.
