The horizontal refuse compactor is the key compaction equipment ofmunicipal solid waste transfer station. Droved by the hydraulic system. Itpresses the waste compressed into blocks, so it increases the volume oftransfer, improves the efficiency of transfer. But, structure is unreasonable,low reliability is common problem existence.Firstly, according to the garbage block pressing machine functioncharacteristics and work requirements, calculate the push pressing headsize and strength check. Due to different pressing head shape on garbagecompaction has significant effect, so the use of UG software to the push pressing head for three kinds of shape modeling. This is the push head tooptimize the improvement and finite element analysis of foundation.Secondly, in the normal condition, the locking hook of the principleand actual work requirements analysis, find out the influence of thelocking mechanism performance of key variables, then the model toimprove the design, determine the optimal mechanism, so that minimallocking oil cylinder driving force can produce the maximum clampingforce. Several different forms of the lifting mechanism are analyzed,optimal structure, and its hydraulic system simulation.Finally, according to the garbage block pressing machine technicalparameters and the components of the force, calculated in the normalcondition, the size of the load components. Analysis of the components ofthe movement, to determine their main stress surface. Then using UGsoftware to establish the various components of the3D model intoABAQUS to make the finite element analysis. On three forms of the pushpressing head with finite element analysis, and obtain their strain and stress on the size and location, to determine the optimum structure. Thelocking mechanism for the improvement of the body before and after thecomparative analysis, according to the stress and strain distribution on thelocking hook optimized design. Optimized design of analysis resultsshowed that the model is consistent with the requirements of rigidity andstrength.
