Simulation Design Of The RT-flex M/E Remote Control System

The electric Diesel Engine using high-pressure common-rail platform has many advantages in terms of operational safety,flexibility,efficiency of the engine and mechanical wear.Therefore,electric M/E such as RT-flex is the future trends.With the level of ship automation increasing,ship maneuvering put forward higher demands for the reliability and intelligence of remote coltrol system.The development of computer and electronic technology has brought great breakthrough for industrial control.This thesis apply embedded and Ethernet technology to the remote control system,which instead of traditional PLC control system,aimming at ensuring the reliability improving the convenience and flexibility of the system.The main works of this thesis is to design the control panel and telegraph recorder.Control logic of the system are in the control panel.External10signals are collected by distributed processing unit.Each modules connected through Ethernet.Hardware of the control panel is designed by Altium Designer09,which is a4-layer PCB,using ARM11core controller S3C6410and embedded Linux. Telegraph recorder uses ARM Cortex-MO core controller LPC1227.In the part of software designing,programming interface with Qt,which is a cross-platform programming software. combined with defined protocol programming some control logic of the RT-flex remote control system,such as starting,slow turning restarting,stopping reversing,RPM limitting,command printing,safety system and so on. At the same time,programming the PC test program to simulate the main engine and other sensor, in order to verify the correctness of the system.Remote control system based on embedded system has the advantages of low cost,high reliability,flexibility and has beautiful interface.Using ethernet can collect distributed information.Furthermore,ethernet can easily connect with the computer network.So,the remote control system can easily share data with the whole ship.
