Basic knowledge of single-sided induction heating is firstly introduced in this paper, including principle and developmcntment of this technology. Then main jobs in this paper are shown briefly.A comparation between the structure an well as performance of series resonant ciecuit and that of parallel resonant circuit, then the former is chosen in the peoject. And its working progress as well as performance is analized in detail to provide necessary instructions for practical use.The single-sided heating system consists of main heating circuit, control circuit and auxiliary circuit. The main circuit includes rectifier, filter, inverter and resonant circuit, etc. while auxiliary power, voltage sampling circuit, current sampling circuit and temperature sampling circuit make up of the auxiliary circuit.IGBT(Isolated Gate Bipolar Transistor) needs applying carefully. So, its applying conditions are proposed, and two kinds of driving circuit for IGBTare designed. Several necessary functions are integrated in the circuit and the circuits show excellent performance in practical experiments.Designers need to have knowledge of the distribution of temperature in heated objects berofore designing heating coils, so certain simjulations are made in ANSYS in different cases. Besides, results from varing frequencies, current densities and time are compared.I leating results are executed and mathematic model for temperature are obtained from real results, which prove that the single-sided heating system could meet practical desire and perfom well.In the end, this thesis summarizes the content and makes a simple prospect on this work.
