To confirm the parameters, load values and design methods of suitable stopping vehicles, this paper counts the lengths, widths, heights and weights of500kinds car models on the market currently through research, determines the vehicle parameter and load value in accordance with the principles of probability and statistics and suggests the calculation and combination method of load; summarizes the main design requirements of stereo garage.By large number of statistical analysis, the recommended value of relevant design parameters for stereo garage is given. The recommended vehicle length, width and height are5000mm,1900mm and1850mm, respectively. Based on the vehicle size, the proposed length, width and height of single parking space in stereo garage are6000mm,2400mm and2000mm respectively in accordance with the specification requirements; vehicle load is2000kg; the horizontal displacement limits of garage should not exceed1/200of the storey.The design method of steel stereo garage is summarized in this paper combined with the automotive specifications and garage design specifications in related industries, proposing the design requirements for the selection of various garage parameters. Besides, this paper also selects out a better performance garage-the lift-sliding mechanical parking system to analyze after determining the parameters of steel stereo garage.According to the load statistics and calculations in this paper, a self-designed steel cytoskeleton mechanical model of lift-sliding mechanical parking system is established and the structural deformation and stress state under different operating and loading condition are obtained in the view of in-depth analysis on mechanical properties of structure which suffered from different operating and loading influence. Based on the calculation results, this paper derives the maximum deformation and maximum stress of structure generated in operating condition of the largest partial load and the symmetrical full load, which can evaluate the strength, stiffness and stability of structure and make recommendations to the structural design of stereo garage.
