China is the world’s largest energy producer and consumer of energy, energy consumption and environmental pollution problem is increasingly serious, and that seriously impacts on people’s lives and healthy, how to save energy and reduce emissions of pollutants has become a big problem to be sloved urgently. As international and domestic container cargo distribution center, Container ports is the main driving force for economic growth, but also China’s major energy-consuming units and the sources of pollution, carring out energy conservation work in the container ports, not only relates to that whether overall target of energy saving could be realized, but also be seen as the needs that the port enterprise must achieve social responsibility and improve their own economic benefit. The energy saving and emission reduction evaluation system is the most important issue.Based on this background, the paper realize the concept of energy saving and emission reduction of the container port, analysis four major characteristics of energy saving and emission reduction of the container port. From four aspects, such as,energy consumption, environmental pollution, policy management and technological innovation, focus on current situation of energy saving and emission reduction of the container port in China, and identify the key factors, the establishment of evaluation index system. Finally, Seen Dalian Port, Yingkou Port, Qinhuangdao Port, Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port, Shanghai Port, Ningbo Port, GuangzhouYantian Port as examples, develops entropy to determine the weight, analysis the comparative results of between the evaluation results matter-element extension method and the method of gray correlation evaluation, and the results show that proposed methods and evaluation criteria are feasible and reasonable.
