Along with the strong support of the state, Sea-rail multimodel transportation enters a critical period of development. Though, the freight category standards between rail and sea transportation are different, and the same standard is not yet formed, which seriously hindered the efficiency and coordinated development of the combined transportation. What’s more, with the rapid development of the economy、special containers and special behicles, cargo structure begins to change; containerized cargo category is also more and more. So, containerized cargo category standard determined in the past is never meet the requirements now. Therefore, based on the existing several major freight category standards, and combines the actual transportation situation, this paper contrasts and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages between standards. At last, the paper determines the containerized cargo category standard of sea-rail multimodel transportation, which provides a reference for our future researches on the containerized cargo category standard of sea-rail multimodel transportation. The specific research contents include the following sections.(1) The paper analyzes the related standards of sea-rail multimodel transportation. Combining of the actual situations such as our cargo traffic freight composition structure and the problems in every mode of transport, the paper summarizes up the problems of the containerized cargo category of sea-rail multimodel transportation and the affct to multimodel transportation.(2) In view of the problems of the freight categories, this paper attempts to establish the containerized cargo category standard of sea-rail multimodel transportation. First, the containerized cargo categories of the railway、 waterway and international transport are analyzed. From the aspects of cargo size、weight、value、the nature of the goods and the required transport time,the freight which is suitable for container in sea-rail multimodel transportation is defined. Then, from the three aspects of the basic classification principles、 method and symbol commonly used in the classification of the goods, this paper analyses and researches the classification principles、the classification method and the classification symbol to frame the standard of the containerized cargo categories of sea-rail multimodel transportation. Finally, containerized cargo category standard of sea-rail multimodel transportation is established.(3) Dangerous Goods is very special. Most of the dangerous goods are very suitable for container transport, and its volume accounts for a large proportion of the containerized cargo. However, in the process of transport, there is a big controversy for containerized dangerous cargo category between railway and waterway. So, this paper gives a detailed analysis and study to containerized dangerous cargo category of sea-rail multimodel transportation. Firstly, the paper analyzes the dangerous goods standards and regulations of the railway、waterway and international transportation. The differences of the dangerous goods category of regulations and the actual transport processes are all studied. And the affect of the differences to the sea-rail multimodel transportation of dangerous goods is also analyzed. Then, the reasons to the differences of the dangerous goods in transport are studied. Finally, for the various reasons, recommendations for improvement are given.
