Packaging is an importation means for the transportation of goods, especially for the gas of dangerous goods. Nowadays, enterprise choice packaging, depend on the individual judgement of purchasing agent. There is no corresponding method. In the context of railway transportation, the paper choices the packaging of the gas of dangerous goods as the research object. The paper studies the method of choice of packaging. Therefore, the paper has realistic foundation and applicative value.Based on analysis above, the paper would build the method, which is used for the choice of the packaging of the gas of dangerous goods. The method would provide guidance for the enterprise. First of all, I read a large collection of laws and regulations of the packaging of the gas of dangerous goods, to expound the character of the gas of dangerous goods, packaging’s function, and packaging’s performance under test. Then, the paper analyses the influence of safety, cost, handing efficiency of railway transportation, because of the packaging of the gas of dangerous goods. Thus, I get the influencing factor and quantitative methods of some factors. Secondly, the paper uses evaluation to study. The paper establishes the index system which is for making the choice of packaging evaluation, and selects the DEA model with AHP to study the question. So I get the fully method to choice the best packaging of the gas of dangerous goods. Finally, I design the A enterprise, for example, to verify the feasibility of the index system and evaluation method.
