The aim of this experiment is to study the technology with applying high quality and fertilizer on maize. In this paper, a field experiment was conducted to study the effects of humic acid (HA ) compound fertilizer applied in 0-25cm soil layer separately on the growth of spring maize and summer maize, as well as soil physical and chemical properties. The main results were as follows:1. Compared with inorganic fertilizer conventional application, the technology of HA compound fertilizer applied in 0-25cm soil layer separately could significantly improve the leaf area index, SPAD value, stem diameter in the stages of head sprouting and grain filling; increase the fresh and dry weight of roots, stems, leaves and ear, reduce the plant height, and ultimately increased the maize yield by 4.1%~6.4%.Compared with inorganic fertilizer, Applying HA compound fertilizer could increase the maize yielded by 11.3% to 13.6%. In addition, compared with the technology of applying fertilizer in 0-25cm soil layer separately, the effect of HA compound fertilizer on maize yield was better by 3.5%~8.0%.2. Subsoiling technology had little effect on water content of the surface and deep (low 90cm) soil, but could significantly increase the water content of 10 ~ 90 cm soil layer. In the whole growth period, , soil water content in the treatment with subsoiling and fertilization was higher by 6.73% than treatment with conventional fertilization in 10~ 90 cm soil layer.. 3. Soil compactions in 0cm, 5cm and 30cm layer had little difference between conventional fertilizer treatment and subsoiling fertilization treatment, but in 10-20cm layer, soil compaction in subsoiling fertilization treatment were decreased by 520%,124%,79%,41% and 30% than that in conventional fertilizer treatment at the stage of maize seedling, jointing, tasseling, grouting and mature, respectively .4. With the fertilizer rate increasing, the fresh and dry weight of root, stem and leaves, and leaf area index were all increased gradually, while the maize yield and its components all had the highest value when fertilizer rate reached 900kg/hm~2. Compared with CK, the maize yield was increased by 51.8% in the treatment with applying 900kg/hm~2 fertilizer, however, the maize yield applied with 1200 kg/hm~2 fertilizer was only increased by 42.2%. the relationship between maize yield and fertilizer rate was fitted with the follow model: Y= -0.0028X2+6.65X+7834.9, R2=0.9203. According to this equation, the highest yield of maize was 11783.34 kg/ hm~2, and the highest application rate was 1187.5 kg/hm~2. While the most economical application rate was 955.40 kg/hm~2 , and the maize yield was 11632.40 kg/hm~2. the profits of applying fertilizer was 4716.76 yuan/ hm~2.
