The research of continuous digging machine which with high-efficiency and can dig pit in the plains area has always been a blank. Continuous digging machine is made up by wheel traction locomotive (tractor) and mobile equipment. Its drill will remain stationary relative to the ground by the horizontal direction pulling hydraulic cylinder when tractor continue forward. Such control method can guarantee a continuous trenching. The drill will return to the original location with a multiple traction speed after the completion of work cycle. By analyzing the special work of continuous digging machine requirements, we calculated the moving distance in the horizontal direction relative traction locomotives is1.2m.The drill bit complete a work cycle of the overall time is10seconds, at the traction traveling0.15m/s speed. Through the innovative design of the structure and hydraulic control system, we developed a continuous digging machine with stable, efficient, high level of mechanization. The efficiency of the new machine is300pit/h, it can produce the hole with the depth of500mm, spacing about1.5m. Virtual prototyping technology is the development trend of Innovative research.
