In this new century, the situation of energy crisis is severer, and differentscholars are gradually paying more and more attention to find a solution. Underthat background, from the angle of improving the efficiency of the way how weuse energy, the thesis is about the study of the means of improving theproductiveness of the machine of compressing biomass straws. This study alsobelongs to “the key technology and equipment of straw collection andcompression” in advanced manufacturing technology, which is the NationalHigh Technology Research and Development Program (863Program). Themain conclusions are in the following:(1) In order to improve the productivity of the machine, the mechanicalproperty study of the material to be compressed is absolutely necessary.Incorporate with the results of the previous studies, the thesis chose the straw ofrice and soybean as the main target. The data obtained after various tests can beconstructive to the further research. Apart from that, the research designed andconducted a simulate test of the compressing process by a proper combinationof the existing equipments. That test confirmed the three-phase molding theoryof the machine, and data collected from the test is more relevant to the study.After studying the data, we acquired the key data of the three phases (namedPhase I, Phase II, and Phase III in the thesis), thereby we comprehended theperformance of the straws more thoroughly. The simulate test can be consideredas an innovation point of the thesis.(2) The chief target of improvement research of the machine is to improvethe efficiency of compression and decrease the energy consumption. And themain work of the improvement research of compressing efficiency is to enhancethe efficiency of the parts that involved in compressing directly. Based on themechanical calculation of the hydraulic and compressing parts in the machine,combined with the data collected in previous tests, this thesis testified thefeasibility of the machine from the angle of mechanical deformation. After that,we performed the ANSYS simulation of the compressing parts of the originalmachine and the stalks. Based on the result of the simulation, we found out the shortcomings and defects of the parts, further more, we specified themodification project for the machine. In the end, we performed similarmechanical calculation and ANSYS simulation to testify the feasibility andimprovement effect of the new machine.(3) Another vital study to improve the compressing effect is to reinforce theheating system of the machine. The reason why we need to do the improvementresearch is because the compression effect of the original machine is notsatisfying, and after the preliminary analysis, the crucial problem is the heatingeffect. On the basis of the thermotics data of the rice straw, we analyzed theheating effect of the original machine by ANSYS simulation, which affirmedthe preliminary analysis. After further analysis of the heating system, weachieved the reason for that, and embodied the improvement project bymodifying the heating position and heating temperature. According to theANSYS simulation of the new project, we completed a more efficient design,but because of the shortage of time, the design is not fully detailed. Theimprovement project in the thesis can be a portion of the further design of theheating system.(4) Because the machine is a relatively complex system, the previousmodification of the compression and heating system will affect other parts of themachine at one point or another. For those parts involved, such as the moldinghead, push rod, push board and other parts in the hydraulic system, thesisadjusted the structure and dimension of them and testified the mechanicalproperty of the new parts. The thesis reselected the components in the hydraulicsystem as well. In the end, the thesis analyzed the noise sources of the machinepreliminarily, and proposed a few directions to solve the problem.
