Aleurites Montana is one of the wood oil plants, the maximum oil content of which could reach to60-70%, and it can be developed into bioenergy wood. However, the percent defective for the seeds increase in the seeding planting process for reason that the maximum oil content of the seeds of Aleurites Montana is high and so it is easy to be eaten or transpoted by animals. In order to deduce the percent defective, improve the quality and acitvity of seeds as well as improve the survival rate of seeding planting, this experiment tries to implement optimizing selection on Aleurites Montana’s coating and coating material and to explore the best treat combination which can improve the retention rate and vitality of Aleurites Montana seeds, supported by the seed-coated technique. We adopt the mixed orthogonal table L18(61×36) to design the test scheme I and adopt orthogonal table L9(34) do design the test scheme II.1. Different methods of coating play obviously different effects on the germination percentages of Aleurites Montana seeds. But the outputs of test scheme Ⅰ suggest that only B-filming agents make remarkable effects on the germination percentage and B-filming agents should be viewed as the most important factor. B-grain rain coating agent is obviously better than B-suopension coating agent and chitosan+ployethylene glycol filming agent, and the order of each factors is: B>A>C>E>F>D. The factors of test scheme Ⅱ do not make obvious effects on the germination percentages of seeds.2. After coating the seeds in scheme Ⅱ, it is suggested by the experiment that the length of stored period after coating plays remarkable different influences on Aleurites Montana. Furthermore, the analysis indicates that there are large differences between the seeds which is planted one day after coating and that which is planted30days after coating. As to the seeds, which are planted7days after coating, though the germination percentage is lower, there is no remarkable difference on the germination percentage referred to the seeds which are planted next to the day when they are coated.3. Using the earliest germination time and average germination time of seeds in the experiment as test index and analyzing the output of scheme Ⅰ, it can be found that C-gibberellin plays remarkable influences on the earliest germination time. The order of all the factors is C>A>B>D>F>E. All the factors do not play remarkable influences on the seeds’ average germination time. And the order is C>A>B>D>E>F, which is mostly simlilar to that of earliest germination time. The content of gibberellin is1500mg/kg. In scheme Ⅱ, all the factors do not make remarkable effects on the earliest germination time. Besides, factor A’performs remarkable influences on average germination time, and A’1-capsaicin, A’3-brodifacoum is obviously better than A’2-rat destruction agent. The order of all the factors is A’>D’>C, in which the content of gibberellin is750mg/kg.4. We study the vigor index of Aleurites Mantana seeds which are planted after the day when the seeds are coated. By different methods of coating, the activity index of seeds change obviously referred to the seeds without coating. In scheme I, B-filming agent plays remarkable effects on vitality index. And B1-grain rain coated agent is better than both B2-suspension coated agent and B3-chitosan+ployethylene glycol filming agent. The order of each factors is B>A>E>C>F>D. Filming agent can improve the validity index of seeds effectively. The effects on validity index of seeds in scheme Ⅱ is not remarkable.5. All the factors in both the orthogonal test scheme Ⅰ and Ⅱ do not deliver obvious differences on the index values such as the biomass of young sprouts of Aleurites Montana, chlorlphyll content, SOD, MDA, SPC and soluble sugar. There are some differences on the allocation of biomass of young sprouts between scheme I and II. This may be resulted from the different planting time, which resulted in the different growth stages of the young sprouts when tested. Among the index values, only the positive correlation between MDA and SPC reaches the remarkable level. A negative relation is found. Perhaps, this is due to that there are heavier effects, coursed by the inter-actions among the factors in scheme I and II, on the SPC value of young sprouts referred to that of main effect. As it is mentioned above, the optimizing combination of coating agent for Aleurites Montana seeds should include grain rain coating agent, gibberellin. Capsaicin or brodifacoum can be used as insecticides and germicides. And capsaicin is recommended when the toxicity should be taken into accouting. The content of gibberellin is1500mg/kg, which is only for reference. It is better that the planting should be performed after the day when the seeds are coated, but more studies need to be done in order to determin the period of validity of coating. This experiment only studies on the factors of rat destruction in coating agent and further study is needed for the effect of rat destruction.
