To identify accurately the adaptability of7American flue-cured tobacco varieties in Yunnan, seven American flue-cured tobacco varieties (NC102、NC297、NC55、NC71、 NC72、GL26H、GL350) and K326(CK) were studied by randomized blocks design and regional adaptability test. The results of randomized blocks design showed that agronomic traits had no significant difference between all tested varieties. The American flue-cured tobacco varieties were superior in disease resistance. All tested varieties were subject to the hazards of the tobacco budworm and Myzus persicae (Sulzer), and there were no premature flowering phenomenon of all varieties. The tobacco leaves output of NC55and GL26H were the best among all tested varieties. The appearance quality of NC102and K326were the best among all tested varieties. The content of the chemical composition of all the tested varieties were in the appropriate range. The results of regional adaptability test showed that the American flue-cured tobacco varieties were superior in disease resistance. The varieties of the highest resistance to black shank and common mosaic virus (TMV) were NC102and NC297. The economic traits and sensory quality of NC102and NC297were the best among all tested varieties. The leaf appearance quality of NC102was the best, followed GL26H and NC297. The content of the chemical composition of all the tested varieties were in the appropriate range. The results of productional verification showed that the intensity of anti-machining of NC102and NC297all meet the requirements. The formula alternative test results show that NC102and NC297varieties of tobacco use certain proportion better harmonization and complementarity of cigarette products, is currently the United States cited NC102, NC297varieties of tobacco in one or two types of cigarette product formulations quantity the proportion of the total (two varieties) and preferably less than30%.
