Planning And Analysis Of Permanent Basic Farmland Of Pingchang County

Farmland is the guarantee of food and economic security,and the prime land isthe main objective of protection.It is of great importance to make scientificreasonable planning and protection of prime land considering the national conditions.With Pingchang county of Bazhong city as the study area,this paper probes intothe planning of permanent basic farmland conservation based on the fruits of theprevious efforts supported by GIS technology.This paper provides not only basicfarmlands in quantity,quality and layout,but also new thoughts and experience forother similar jobs.After the introduction of theory related with the planning of basicfarmland,analyzing the status quo of land use,arable land and basic farmland,theauthor finds out the problems in previous planning.The determination of the area ofbasic farmland is based upon the decomposition from top to bottom of land protectiveindicators,the realities of Pingchang and designated specificatuions.This paper alsoincludes a evaluation framework covering agricultural land use,slope of the land,theextent of cultivated land,the distance from arable land to arteries,the distance fromarable land to reservoirs,the distance from cropland to towns and the distance fromland to villages.By using the spacial analysis of GIS and hierarchy analysis process,the author obtains the value and weight every indicator.Through indicator standardization andcomprehensive indicator value calculation,the paper determines the basic patch offarmland and achieves the goal of scientific farmland planning of Pingchang.During the analysis of the results,this paper not only completed the task ofplanning58121.66hm2basic farmland,but also finds out that most of the land is onthe relative quality of arable land.Therefore,in the course of adjustment of basicfarmland,more are needed to consider to make the planning scientific andreasonable.
