Objective:To make valuation again of Shao’s "Five Needling Methods" to provide asafer and more effective treatment way clinically for the asthma patient whoare in the cute stage, through observing the change of symptom, physicalsign, lung function and hemorheology of the asthma patient who were in thecute stage, and already accepted treatment of Shao’s "Five NeedlingMethods".Methods:70asthma patients who were in cute stage, matched the standard, andalready signed the "Informed Consent Document", were randomly dividedinto a test group and control group, with35ones in each group. The testgroup were treated by Shao’s "Five Needling Methods" together with thecombination treatment, while the control group were treated byaminophylline together with the combination treatment. The treatment toeach group was given each per day, and together in7days.1month after thetreatment was finished, the70patients were visited. To value theeffectiveness by comparing the change of the symptom, physical sign, lungfunction and hemorheology, before and after treatment.Results:126were clinically controlled,5were markedly effective,2wereeffective, in the test group. And17were clinically controlled,10weremarkedly effective,7were effective in the control group. The curativeeffect of the2groups was significantly different(P<0.05) after thestatistical analysis. It stated the treatment for test group was more effectivethan the control group. 2Analysis for2classification:20were clinically controlled,2weremarkedly effective;6were clinically controlled,3were markedly effective,2were effective. The curative effect of the2group is significantlydifferent(P<0.05) after the statistical analysis. It stated the treatment forcold syndrome was more effective than the heat syndrome.3The total scores of sy mptom and sign, and also the scores of sign, gasp, wheezing sound, cough, cough with phlegm, Chest stuffiness, Shortness ofBreath, were markedly different(P<0.05) in each group of the2groupsbefore and after treatment, and also obviously different(P<0.05) whencompared between the2groups, before and after treatment. it stated the2kinds of treatment all could make better the symptom and sign of thepatients, and the treatment for test group was better than the one for controlgroup. There was not big difference between the2groups for improving thesymptom of cough with phlegm, after treatment(P>0.05).4For lung function, the FEV1and PEFR of the2groups were all markedlydifferent before and after treatment(P<0.05), and also after treatment, thetest group is significantly different of the control group(P<0.05), it statedthe effectiveness of the treatment for test group was better than controlgroup.5The whole Blood plasma viscosity with high shear, whole Blood plasmaviscosity with low shear, aggregate degree of erythrocyte, are all differentbefore and after treatment(P<0.05).It states the treatment for each groupall can release the high blood viscosity of the patients. The whole Bloodplasma viscosity with high shear, whole Blood plasma viscosity with lowshear, aggregate degree of erythrocyte, are not big different after treatment(P>0.05).It states it is not obviously different between the2group tomake better the high blood viscosity of the patients. Conclusion:The Shao’s “Five Needling Method” was obviously effective to treat thepatients who were at cute stage. It could distinctly make better the symptom, physical sign, lung function and blood viscosity. There is no statisticallysignificant difference between the test group and control group to makebetter the data which was related with blood viscosity of the patient. Thetreatment for test group is better than the control group to improve the symptom, physical sign, and lung function of the patients.
