While-in the theoretical research, we looked up literatures both in and abroad to summarize and analyse the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and therapy; In the clinical research,60collected patients were divided randomly into treatment group and control group, each group has30cases. The treatment group was treated with Shuganhewei Fang1dose a day (Constituted by Chao Chaihu10g, Zhi Xiangfu10g, Chao Baishao20g, Zhi Gancao5g, Chenpi6g, Fabanxia10g, Chuanpo10g, Zisugeng10g, Fuling15g, Guya20g, Maiya20g, Duan Walengzi30g). The control group was treated with Omeprazole Enteric-coated Capsules(Ao Ke)20mg Bid,and Mosapride Citrate Tablet (Xin Luo Na)5mg Tid orally. Two groups were treated in4weeks and each course treatment was7days. Any other drugs were suspended during the period. Each one had to fill in "The symptom observing table of the disharmony between liver and stomach type of gastro esophageal reflux disease" and GERD-HRQL before and after the treatment. Datas were analysed by the SPASS17.0satistical software. By means of comparing the variation of the two tables’marks before and after treatment to observe the improvements of the patients’ primary symptoms, secondary symptoms and quality of life.Results:After4weeks’ treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group is93.33%while the control group is80.00%. Statistics shows that there is no difference between them(p=0.26>0.05). After treatment, the total symptom marks of two groups have a significant difference in satistics (p<0.01), which indicate that the total improvement of the treatment group is superior to the control group obviously;within each group, marks also show that there is a significant difference respectively(p<0.01), which means both of the groups have obvious improvement. After treatment, each symptom mark of two groups has a significant difference(p<0.05) compared with4weeks ago. Three kinds of symptoms (distending pain in the hypochondrium, poor appetite, gastric stuffiness and discomfort) in the treatment group, marks of which have significant differences compared with control group(p<0.01). That indicates that the improvement of these symptoms in the treatment group is larger than the control group. The total marks of HRQL of the two groups have a significant difference after treatment (p<0.01), also within each group. It indicates that HRQL of both of the groups have been improved after treatment while the treatmenr group is superior to the control group. Conclusion:The therapy of soothing liver and harmonizing stomach is an effective method to treat the disharmony between liver and stomach type of gastro esophageal reflux disease.
