Peony Decoction Combined With Enema In The Treatment Of Damp-heat Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Observation

Purpose and Significance: Ulcerative colitis is a kind of unexplained inflammatory bowel disease. The disease course is long, often recurrent, and colon cancer have a certain relationship, thus being who was one of the columns. Western medicine in the treatment of this disease is easy recurrence after drug withdrawal, the long-term side effects, refractory cases curative effect is not ideal. Therefore, to find effective drugs with fewer side effects has become one of the research focus. Chinese medicine treatment of ulcerative colitis has obvious advantages, has highlighted the development value and broad prospects.This paper summarizes the traditional Chinese medicine knowledge of the disease and the advances of modern medicine, and clinical research through observation of Jiawei Shaoyao Decoction on ulcerative colitis in patients with serum levels of interleukin6(IL-6), interleukin8(IL-8) of the regulating effect and the mechanism for treatment of the disease, provides a new effective drugs.Study Methods:Select this courtyard outpatient and hospitalization of patients with ulcerative colitis in60cases, patients were randomly divided into treatment group and Western medicine combined with traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy group (30cases each); the treatment group were treated with salicylic acid azo SASP oral,l QID, at the same time with modified Peony Decoction oral and enema treatment,1bags of oral BID, enema QN; the control group only with salicylic acid azo SASP oral,l QID. The two groups were in30d for a course of treatment. Determination of two patients and20healthy volunteers of serum IL-6, IL-8levels.Results:Treatment group total effectiveness was86.3%, control group total effective rate was60%, in two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The treatment group after treatment, serum IL-6, IL-8levels compared with the normal group, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), the control group after treatment, serum IL-6, IL-81evels were still higher than normal group (P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Peony Decoction in the treatment of UC curative effect is obvious, the down-regulation of IL-6, IL-8expression and generation may be one of its mechanisms.2. In different treatment regimens, alone or in combination with traditional Chinese medicine treatment can improve the patients with ulcerative colitis with diarrhea, bloody diarrhea and other symptoms, comprehensive score in each group before and after treatment were significantly improved.3.Peony Decoction on improving symptoms of diarrhea with good results.4.Peony decoction can improve ulcerative colitis in patients with laboratory indexes, found no obvious effect on liver and kidney functions.5.Peony Decoction in the treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis overall efficacy is superior to the western medicine group.
