Clinical Research On The Application Of Integrated Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine Therapy In The Treatment Of Tibial Plateau Fractures

Objective:To explore clinical efficacy of the using of Integrative Medicine in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures, and explore new ideas for clinical treatment of tibial plateau fractures.Methods:50cases of tibial plateau for Taihe Hospital in Shiyan City orthopedic treatment between May2010to October2011fracture patients were randomly selected and divided into control and treatment group,25cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine treatment, and the treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese patent medicines application+massage techniques+herbal fumigation treatment on the basis of the of the control group treatment. Then comparing the healing time of the fracture, and according to Lyshlom standard, according to the patients with claudication, weight-bearing, interlocking, joint instability, pain, swelling, climbing stairs, squatting to conduct a comprehensive score. Finally, in contrast to its excellent rate.Results:Two groups of pat ients were fol lowed up, they were fol lowed up for5-18months. Their regular monthly review was to shoot on a knee X-rays.1.Comparison of two groups of patients with fracture healing, the treatment group within3months of healing of fracture probability (52%) were significantly higher than the control group (24%), results in the two groups had a significant difference (P <0.05);2. Complications of fracture probability in treatment group was significantly lower than the control group, the two group the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);3. According to Lysholm knee score standard, in patients with claudication, weight-bearing, interlocking, joint instability, pain, swelling, climbing stairs, squatting to conduct a comprehensive score in treatment group, the rate of excellent (60%) was significantly better than the control group (68%), results in the two groups had a significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese and Western medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of tibial plateau fractures methods could improve the curative effect, it not only can promote fracture healing, and to avoid the complications of fracture, but also promote the recovery of limb function. It reduce the suffering of patients,and improve the quality of life of the patients. It is suitable for clinical application.
