Artemisia rupestris L. as the xijiang folk traditional Chinese herbal medicine hasa long history. The plant has been widely known for its antitumor, protecting liver, antioxida, detoxification and anti-hypersusceptibility. A search show that the activecompounds responsible for the activity of A.rupestris L. are sesquiterpenoids, flavonoids, glycosides, essential oil, phenolics, lipids and amino acid compounds.Thispaper focuses on the of the Artemisia rupestris L.volatile oil extraction process、chemical composition、pharmacological activity conducted a preliminary analysis.Thestudy results are as follows:1.Determination results of different parts of the mineral elements content in theArtemisia rupestris L.Ten constant elements in Artemisia rupestris L.such as C、O、K、Ca、Mg、P、S、Si、Al、Na were determined by EDS.The results showed that it is a typical high Klow Na material,The relative quality of the highest scores of the various elements inthe flower.Five metallic Artemisia rupestris L.such as Cu、Zn、Fe、Cr、Ni were determinedby AAS.Detection artemisia heavy metals: Hg、Pb、Cd,only roots Hg super,May berelated to the total amount of heavy metals in the soil.2. SD and SFE-C02extraction of volatile oil from Artemisia rupestris L.and pro-cess optimizationSD and SFE-C02extraction of volatile oil from Artemisia rupestris L.Theoptimal extraction condition was as follows:medicinal materials which screen meshwere40,concentration of NaCl is10%,adding water14.5times,and the time of refluxextraction is6.6h.Under the optimized conditions, the yield of volatile oil was0.468%,which was agreed with model predictions. The optimal extraction process issimple and practicable. The volatile oil was extracted from Artemisia rupestris L.bySFE-C02extraction,the yield of volatile oil was2.8%. 3.Chemical composition of the volatile oil from Artemisia rupestris L.wereassessedThe methods from national standard and pre codex for identification of physicaland chemical properties of essential oils from propolis were adopted,and7kinds ofindex were detenninaled.GC-MS and NIST、Wiley method was used to analyzeextracts. The results indicated that by SD,49kinds of components were separated and48components were identified among them.Accounting for about89.82%of the totalvolatile oil.The main chemical constituents of the volatile oil from Artemisia rupestrisL. are (-)-Dihydrocarvyl acetate(31.54%)、2-hydroxy-3-(1-propenyl group)-1,4-napthoquinone(27.28%),et a1;SFE-C02:53kinds of components were separatedand52components were identified among them.Accounting for about94.39%of thetotal volatile oil.Terpenes,fattyacid,1,4-napthoquinone derivatives mainly accountedfor21.74%、32.43%、7.39%.Volatile oil extracted by the two methods, there are eight kinds of common com-ponents,linalool、linalyl acetete、β-farnesene、(-)-α-new clove tricycloalkenyl、Spartak alcohol oxide、caryophyllene、2-hydroxy-3-(1-propenyl group)-1,4-napthoquinone.The content of the obvious differences, may be related to the differencesextraction process.4. Antimicrobial activity of the volatile oil from Artemisia rupestris L.in vitroThe antimicrobial activities of volatile oil from A. rupestris L. to seven bacteriawere investigated. The results indicated that the volatile oil inhibited significantly thegrowth of a wide range of bacteria.Bacillus subtilis,Salmonella enterica and Bacillusthuringiensis Bacillus subtilis strains lowest minimun inhibitory concentration。Compared with the inhibition effect of the Artemisia rupestris L.alcoholextract, volatile oil sterilization better. This may be volatile oil contains large amountsof terpenes. 5. Antioxidant activity of the volatile oi from Artemisia rupestris L.The tested IC50of Artemisia rupestris L.Volatile oil to DPPH was0.195mg/ml,the equivalent of a strong free radical scavenging capacity of antioxidants ascorbicacid (Vc) of70%to80%; volatile oil total reducing power equivalent to the strongantioxidantsVc75%to90%. In the β-carotene-volatile oil linoleum acid system IC50of0.579mg/ml,lipid antioxidants is equivalent to strong antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene(BHT)85%to90%.Therefore,Artemisia rupestris L.volatile oil had a good rolein antioxidants bility. And had a concentration-effect relationship.6.To observe the effect of volatile oi of Artemisia rupestris L.on gastrointestinalfunction of mice.Residual rate indicator phenol red as a marker, the small intestinal rate and stomach,Artemisia rupestris L.volatile oil each dose group could promote gastrointesinal funtion, volatile oil80mg/mL,the most significant effect.
