Objective:Observation of clinical efficacy and safety of check pill treatment of epilepsy and to explore its mechanism of action, to verify and clear phlegm feasibility and practicability of the method to treat epilepsy.Method:sOral treatment group patients of epilepsy check pills,5g each time,3times a day, half under12years of age; Control group patients taking phenytoin sodium,2.5～3tablets each time,3times a day, under the age of14, according to3mg/kg/d oral three times. Respectively before and after6months treatment, partial seizures drug interval for more than half a year or a year later, to detect and record electroencephalogram, or eeg relief map, attack frequency, extent, both symptoms improvement, records of these patients before and after treatment of monthly average onset frequency. Data from statistical analysis using SPSS13.0software, the calculation of mean, standard deviation, measurement data using t test, analysis of variance.Result:1. The clinical efficacy of statistics:treatment group total effective rate was82.5%, control group total effective rate was65%. Compare two groups have significant difference (p<0.05).2. The monthly average onset frequency statistics:two groups have significant difference (P<0.05).3. The eeg change: two groups have significant difference (P<0.05).4. On curative effect comparison:various types of epilepsy patients with grand mal, treatment group and control group with significant difference (p<0.05), no difference for petit mal epilepsy (p>0.05), with partial onset seizures, although the response rate is high, the treatment group but due to the number of cases are very few, also don’t tell the difference between them. Conclusion:1. Epilepsy of check pill formula is in sputum pathogenic cause under the guidance of the theory summarized the treatment of epilepsy prescriptions, with o of extinguish wind, phlegm refreshing effect, suit the etiology and pathogenesis of epilepsy.2. Epilepsy of check pills to reduce the monthly average onset epilepsy, eeg, reducing both symptoms improved curative effect is distinct, the comprehensive curative effect is better than that of phenytoin sodium, is a kind of safe and effective antiepileptic medicine...
