Pronunciation is the foundation of language learning, which is an undeniabletruth. If you start with learning Chinese Pinyin and learn it well, you will yieldtwice the result with half the effort and learn Chinese well.This article aims to summarize my mentality of composing the book ConciseTextbook of Chinese Pinyin for Foreign Learners and record the feedback and dataof the experiments. Apart from the introduction and epilogue, this article is dividedinto three parts.Part I: To analyze the current situation of Chinese pinyin teaching, includingthe advantages and disadvantages of existing Chinese pinyin teaching material, andthe status of class teaching of pinyin and students’ pinyin study.Part II: To introduce the aim of composing the book, its originality, the theorybasis of its composing rules and its layout.Part III: To use teaching material to record and analyze the experiments,including classroom cases and example collection and group experiment data, andto apply the experiment results to have introspection and optimize the teachingprocess.By presenting and analyzing the above-mentioned key points, this article aimsto explore how to help foreign students to effectively grasp Chinese pinyin andhave higher level Chinese study by applying pinyin, and to provide reference forthe research and development of Chinese pinyin teaching material.
