The graduation thesis is about the prostitution in the reformation period of the Tang and SongDynasties. It thought that the prostitution atmosphere started with the establishment of the systemof the prostitution. Before the Tang Dynasty, the prostitution was prosperous among the imperialprinces, the ministers, and the nobles. After the Tang Dynasty, the literati became the protagonistof prostitution. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, the prostitution almost penetrated into the entirelife of the literati. It also became the most popular way of entertainment in the social life, andcontinued to Qing dynasty.The whole thesis is divided into seven parts: the introduction, the social transformation of Suiand Tang Dynasties, the beginning of literati prostitution, the sources of the official and theirprivate prostitute and the cultivation of the culture in Tang Dynasty, the literati and Geisha in thesocial reformation of the Tang and Song Dynasties, the literati and the prostitution wind under theconfucianism fetter of Song Dynasty, the prostitution of the literati in Tang and Song Dynasty andthe plans of the dominant group, the epilogue part. The thesis total more than100,000words.The introduction is the explanation which is mainly about the reasons of the topics, thebackground researches the present situation, the argument of the article and the main researchprocess.The first part is the explanation of the social transformation in the Sui and Tang Dynasties andthe beginning of the prostitution wind of the literati, and it said that the execution of the socialservice examination in the period of the social transformation in the Sui and Tang Dynasties causedthe structure changes of the literati class. Moreover, it was this change which prompted the literaticlass with the sense of elegance, from which the prostitution began.The second part is the explanation of the sources of the official and their private prostitute andthe cultivation of the culture in Tang Dynasty, and it examines their sources process and sourceregion, and Geisha in the Tang Dynasty have a high cultural and artistic accomplishment becauseof birth, rearing, their social morality and the social economic factors,The third part is the explanation of the literati and Geisha in the social reformation of the Tangand Song Dynasties That says the social change of Tang and Song Dynasty lead to the changes ofthe structure of the class, Tang, song two generations of intellectuals, which produces the commoners from the combination of the noble and the commoners, and also lead to their secularstate and the development quality goes down. And their way and the content of communicationwith Geisha of the two generations of the literati start becoming " vulgarity " from" elegance ".The fourth part is mainly the explanation of the literati and the prostitution wind under theConfucian fetter of Song Dynasty. It thinks, the personality of the literati in the Song Dynasty isinfluenced by this two completely opposite consciousness: the moral supremacy and enjoyingpleasure in time and changed completely, thus it becomes the main factor of the prosperousprostitution.The fifth part is mainly the explanation of the prostitution of the literati in Tang and SongDynasty and the plans of the dominant group. That says the rule group of the two generations ofthe literati supports the policy that includes " appeasement is indulgent"," the opposite attitudes inbright and dark " of the literati, and makes them more and more natural impulse completely, doeverything any way, and it causes the negative effect for the political status of the literati.The epilogue part of the thesis gives the discussion of the psychology of the prostitution of theliterati in the Tang and Song dynasty.
