From Sui Dynasty to Tang Dynasty and to undertake the Great age of Tang, Stephen Owen through the double constructions presented a new dynamic historical perspective.His research is enlightening for us, which indicated that isolated from a period of the development of literature is not feasible, especially as transitional literature, dynamic investigation and thinking more it is absolutely necessary.Secondly, in-depth text reading, discussed that Stephen Owen has thought much of close reading and inosculated dynamic view with early Tang’s context, which has formed configurational language for early tang poetry.Finally, this thesis pay much attention to the poetic rule, which shows early Tang’s style and feature clearly, and established a foundation for the great age of Tang. In conclusion, Stephen Owen’s The poetry of Early Tang reformed the poetics of early Tang.Stephen Owen’s poetry of the early Tang Dynasty study has one global consciousness, we not only understand the early Tang Dynasty poetry as transition characteristics, also can based on the whole Tang Dynasty to view the the development of early Tang poetry, which has given a new analysis for the historical value and significance of the early Tang poetry, this is also his" core" value in Early Tang Poetry.
