Discourse On The Art Of Fu Tianlin’s Free Verses

There are three groups of poets engaged in the field of new Chinese poetry in the early1980s; they are come-backers, obscure poets and new-comers. Fu Tianlin, one of the new-comers, has written pomes several decades since the late1970s, and has published ten collections of poems; Lemon leaves won the fifth Lu Xun Prize in literature in2010. Domestic critics did not pay enough attention to her, this situation can not match her status in the history of new Chinese poetry. This article attempt to analysis the art of Fu Tianlin’s free verses by comparison with other groups of poets, in order to achieve comprehensive understanding of Fu Tianlin’s poems.This article consists of three parts.In the part one, which will be done is to summarize and elaborate the artistic vision of Fu Tianlin’s poems, to analysis her psychology of creation and aesthetic pursuit as a new-comer, by comparison with come-backers and obscure poets, in order to go deep into her poems.In the part two, will analysis artistic characteristics of Fu Tianlin’s poems through the words and forms, including the concise, ethereal prose tendency reflected in her poems, the subtle and flexible language, and the free forms.In the part three, we can get the significance and value of Fu Tianlin’s poems by summarizing the problems that the new Chinese poetry are facing and the requirements raised by the Second Revolution and the Three Reconstruction of the new Chinese poetry.
