As an oral culture, the folk riddle is a kind of knowledge carrier, a way for cultural transmissio n, and an emblem of different nationalities, areas and locations. It has been carried on and develope d by oral education in thousand years which has important effect for cultural transmission. Since ref orm and opening-up, at the background of social transformation, economy, politics and peopl e’s social life has changed a lot, the environment for traditional culture to live by also has a big change that students’country lives has been taken by school education step by step,1 ots of information from outside has been brought in by electronic media. And it will change people’s production and life. In this condition, the importance of oral culture such as folk r iddle would be ignored or taken by some new cultural elements, and the way of oral educat ion also would be affected which made the education inheritable becoming hard to carry on.This study investigated the first Riddle village, Qinglinsi Village, Gaobazhou Town, Yichang City, Hubei Province. With case analysis, the problems in the heritage of folk oral culture were revealed, and strategies are provided for its heritage and development. Based on literatures, fieldworks and interviews showed that the education field functions of family and community were weaken, culture elites deficiency made mentoring education harder, modern school education and traditional oral education had relation dilemma, and related education research was delayed. All these problems indicated that oral education was in predicament. Under the impacts of social environment transitions, educators abandoned the duty of culture heritage actively or positively, learners were absent, the value of folk oral culture was weaken, and the education system was damaged for its stagnation. All these are the main reasons for the predicament and problems listed above.Through the interpretation of predicament to oral education dilemma, this study tries to re-examine the relationship between culture, education and human from the perspective of educational anthropology, and then reveal a irreplaceable role of oral education in human culture Now in the transformation of society and culture change background, the parents should pay attention to its firsthand responsibility; The school should promote the combination of oral and written; The government and education departments should promote the community education curriculum development jointly, and then form a family-community-school education mode in the trinity.
