This paper aims at a comparative study of practical freedom concept on Kant andMarx, to prove and illustrate the critically inherit and surpass of Marx to Kant’s theoryof freedom, to highlight Marx’s revolutionary transformation to the traditionalWestern concept of freedom.Expounded by Kant’s practice the free view, this paper thinks: From the externalreality point of view, Kant’s freedom is subjectivity and individuality; from the innerangle of logic, Kant’s so-called free can only realize in the afterlife. Thus, Kant’sfreedom based on the reality of moral field and filled with the theoretical ideal, butlacks the theoretical dimension of reality.Marx embarks from the realistic viewpoint of practice, first criticizes the abstractmain concept of freedom, and the freedom of main body established practice in thereal field, which the nature of person existence is the freedom of practice exist. Laboras the most basic of practice,and only person have a form of free and consciousfeatures. Because of the labor of this nature, the person efforts to achieve its own “akind of nature” of “a kind of life” diligently. The dissimilation labor’s causes the kindof life dissimilation; therefore freedom is to eliminate the dissimilation labor throughthe revolutionary activities. For Marx, only the communist society truly abandon forthe dissimilation labor. The realized way of the freedom maintains with the realitycommunism movement consistent, thus human has realized the leap from “thenecessity kingdom” to “the free kingdom”.Thus, Marx to Kant’s practice the free view exceeding mainly divided into threeaspects: From the existence of the freedom, Marx’s “the practice freedom” for itsobjectivity exceeds Kant’s “the freedom of will” for its subjectivity; From theachievement of the freedom, Marx ’s “eliminate the dissimilation” for its socialexceeds Kant’s “moral autonomy” for its individuality; From the highest form offreedom, Marx’s “the free kingdom” for its historical reality exceeds Kant’s “thepurpose kingdom” for its the mortal ideal.
