| Based on the review of the concepts, the current research and measure of gratitude,social support and school life satisfaction, this research aims to investigate thecharacteristics and level of elementary students’ school life satisfaction, how gratitudeand social support effect on school life satisfaction and also intends to explore therelationship among gratitude, social support and life satisfaction of junior middleschool students. The purpose of this research is as well as to provide clues to theeducation of students’ mental health, and rich the relevant study of life satisfactionand subjective well-being in positive psychology.504junior middle students of3middle schools in Nanping Province participatedin this survey, and they were asked to complete3questionnaires. The obtained data iscomputed with SPSS16.0and AMOS7.0.The statistical result is as follows:(1)There exists significant difference during gender and grades of junior middleschool students’ life satisfaction. The girl students’ score are higher than the boys’both in summary score and3dimensions score. The score of Grade1and2are higherthan Grade3, different significantly. Though Grade2is lower than Grade1, thedifference isn’t significant.(2) Gratitude is related to social support positively, and gratitude can predict thesocial support directly.(3)Social support related to school life satisfaction positively, and it can predictthe school life satisfaction directly.(4) Gratitude is related to school life satisfaction positively, and gratitude also hasan effect on school life satisfaction indirectly through social support, which hasmediating effect between gratitude and school life satisfaction. |
