In this study, the main topic is the development of Chinese Comparative Sentences acquisition (mainly select25Comparative Sentences forms) in spoken Chinese of foreign students and to determine which sentence forms are more used in their oral Chinese. By adopting the method of longitudinal follow-up study, with the use of natural conversation, we tracked four foreign students of difference level for eight months for this survey. Based on this, we studied which comparative sentence forms are more used by foreign students with the method of function-form analysis. And then, we focused on the development process of their acquisition of comparative sentences, and compared the development process and summarized the characteristics of their acquisition, especially the sentences that are commonly used but often misused. And we also compared the research results of this study and those of the existing domestic research, and gave some suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China according to the results of this study. The paper is divided into four parts:The first part describes the significance and the object of this study, the corpus sources and the methods and the ideas of the research. The method of function-form analysis that this article uses is very rare in the current domestic study, and longitudinal follow-up study of oversea students’oral corpus also makes up for a blank of the current domestic study. The second part discusses the ontology research situation of comparative sentences and the research situation of comparative sentences in the fields of the first language acquisition and teaching Chinese as a foreign language at home and abroad (mainly domestic). In the aspect of horizontal study, this article makes a sorting of the25forms according to their occurrence frequency and finds that foreign students prefer to use sentences that are easier and more useful when they try to express the function of comparing. In the aspect of longitudinal study, the tracking process is divided into four stages, and we analysis and compare the four students’acquisition process of16forms(9forms do not appear in the corpus) and then summarize the features of the development process of their acquisition.
