In modern Chinese, adverbs of degree is a small closed part in thechinese adverbs, its usage is very wide, and also more flexible, thereforeit is one of the difficult points in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The Thai students at advanced stage may make all kinds of mistakes inlearning Chinese degree adverbs, but, so far, we haven’t found out anyrelated works in this study area.We extracted683erroneous examples about adverbs of degreefrom the intermediary language corpus of200000words, and make sure332effective cases.We sorted out the erroneous examples from thereality, in using the intermediary language theory, comparative analysis,and errors analysis method, finally summarized the five kinds oferrors,such as omission error, addition error, substitution,sequentialerror, mixed error. To supplement the shortcomings of the corpus, andfurther checkout the conclusion which got from the intermediarylanguage corpus in practice, we gave a grammar test of the degreeadverbs to54Thai students of advanced stage, and further demonstratedthe rationality of the erroneous analysis of Thailand students. Then,starting from the practice, we summed up the causes of the above errorsfrom three angles, that are teachers, students, teaching material, and gaveour suggestion on how to solve the problem.
