In the history of ancient Chinese fictions and novels, fiction about legal cases havebeen occupying an important position, especially the number of the vernacular fictionsabout legal cases in the middle and late of Ming Dynasty, it’s have significance in linkbetween the Song and Yuan Dynasties huaben, classical fictions and vernacular longfictions about legal cases. This thesis selects Wanli to Chongzhen years published Baolong tu pan bai jia gong’an, Xin ke huang ming zhu si lian ming qi pan gong’an, Xin kehuang ming zhu si gong’an zhuan, hai tang ruo xian sheng hui ji gu jin lv tiao gong’an,Xin juan guo chao ming gong shen duan xiang xing gong’an, Guo qing luo liu shengting song lu xin min gong’an, Xin ke quan xiang hai gang feng xian sheng ju guangong’an zhuan, Ding diao guo chao xian tai zhe yu su yuan shen ming gong’an, Guochao ming gong shen duan xiang qing gong’an, Xin ke ming gong shen duan ming jinggong’an, Xin juan xiu xiang shan ben long tu gong’an as objects of study, from fouraspects to elaborate. Chapter I to define the concept of fictions about legal cases and seta brief introduction for it. Clarify these legal cases have in common, do the necessarygroundwork for the later. Chapter II for the homogenization of the characteristicsexplained the stories on different themes. Chapter III though the fictions focus on ahigher frequency of types of characters to be analyzed, and discusses the characteristicsof group. Chapter IV though the elaboration of the narrative art to reveal a diversifiedexploration of vernacular short fictions anthology about legal cases set in the narrativeperspective and structure, and further illustrates the unique Ming Dynasty vernacular ofshort fictions anthology about legal cases set in the narrative.
