Contemporary Design from the“people-oriented”to“nature-based”in this thought, mankind as a natural part of being considered.This paper analyzes the excessive packaging design adverse impact on the environment, then introduced the concept of simple packaging design, history, status and development trends, and on this basis, it is analysis of the relationship between simple design and food packaging, and summed up the simple design in the food packaging applications, the main methods and specific process, then the current simple design that can easily be overlooked in food packaging design for a detailed analysis and discussion, and finally it is discussed the simple design method.
