Tehran Urban Geography Study

Iran’s long history, rich in resources, an important strategic position in the Middle East, is an important country in this region, Tehran is the capital of Iran, is the mega-cities of the Middle East. Between China and Iraq in recent years had close contacts and growing interdependence. Many Chinese scholars from a different perspective on Iran more in-depth research, these studies mostly concentrated in the political, economic, historical, cultural, geographical research in the Iranian city still in a blank state. In this paper, the urban geography of the Iranian capital Tehran, help to deepen Iran’s social and economic development, urbanization process research, particularly to help improve and promote the regional characteristics and differences of the development of the Iranian economy, as China, Iran studies and human geography research on Iran to provide a new reference to solve China’s western Northwest Territories Urban Development to provide a reference.The main conclusions in this article is:First, many of the problems of urbanization in Tehran, the reasons are manifold, including urban planning lag is an important cause;Second, many cities in Iran and the Middle East, the Tehran city representative, the way to solve urban problems in Tehran also has some versatility;Third, the method to solve this stage the city of Tehran is not a once and for all, unless it continues to control the disorderly expansion of the population, continued emphasis on the coordinated development between population, urban, industrial, social, otherwise the city of Tehran will appear repeatedly even worse;Fourth, managers should be directed to the development of the Tehran city timely scientific planning, try to play the forward-looking of the urban planning, regulation and control functions to solve urban problems in the focus shift from response to prevention up, is to support urban development wise. In this paper, there are three characteristics of study:First, the novel topics. At present, the Middle East academia has not systematically been studied urban geography of Tehran, the topics of basic and exploratory role for promoting the study of Iran’s urban geography and the regional economy of Iran, as well as the development of the city of Tehran.Second, the research methods applied. On the basis of traditional research methods, and strive to adopt the latest statistics, with a variety of data processing software, a comprehensive analysis concluded.Third, intuitive form of expression. The article is the use of CAD, of ArcGis, Photoshop and other graphics software analysis and processing of geographic data collected. Design multiple maps, to visualize the findings and conclusions.This thesis is composed of six chapters:Chapter 1, for the topics of domestic and foreign situation straightened out and explain the background, purpose and significance of the topics to introduce the method of this study.Chapter 2, a brief description of the relevant theories of urban geography.Chapter 3, a comprehensive exposition of the Tehran urban development, regional conditions, and geomorphologic conditions, climatic conditions, resource conditions, historical conditions, economic conditions, political conditions, national conditions, technology and culture conditions, and its systematic analysis.Chapter 4, two key aspects of interpretation of the administrative division and urban status from Tehran Tehran’s economic and social development profiles.Chapter 5, research Tehran city the rapid development of a series of problems:the level of urbanization, the urban expansion of space, industrial structure, urban management, housing, employment and social protection, ecological environment and infrastructure construction and so on.Chapter 6, proposed ideas and measures to solve the problem of Tehran city.Finally, a brief summary of the full text.
