ObjectiveThis study through a questionnaire survey to understand the level of psychological qualitiesand characteristics of the nursing students to identify the need to improve, and explore thesubjective needs of nursing students for psychological quality counseling, and provide a cleardirection for the next psychological quality counseling. On the bases,the paper explore thesuitable psychological quality counseling method for nursing undergraduate to provide the basisfor the implementation of the cultivation of psychological quality of nursing undergraduate innursing education in the quality education system.Subjects and methodsIn this study, the general information questionnaire and the students’ psychological qualityinventory conducted a Survey of Shanxi Medical Nursing undergraduate students in grades one,two, three, and understand the needs with nursing students subjective psychological qualities andcounseling needs questionnaire. Compared with the mean, variance analysis, t-test and otherstatistical methods to understand the quality of the psychological situation of the nursing studentsand influencing factors.According to the survey results to develop nursing students mental quality training program,all of the nursing undergraduates at the school in grades one, two, three to participate, beforeand after the intervention were measured by quantitative research and qualitative research toexplore the implementation effect of psychological quality of training programResults1.The average of the nursing undergraduates was3.43±0.37points,this showed that theoverall level of general. Mental quality level of nursing students in the gender, grade, studentsonly child or not, poor students or not, parental occupation, family income, parents’ educationlevel eight of the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);these eight of select theoriginal intention of the nursing profession, whether the student leaders, collective atmosphere,theschool management style, the teacher’s attitude, parenting styles, family relationships, whether toparticipate in the psychological quality of counseling there are significant differences, and the differencewas statistically significant (P<0.05); The psychological quality of the three year nursing undergraduatestudents in personality traits, vocational ability, and interpersonal quality of management of the threedimensions and the total score there were no differences (P>0.05). Quality of psychological motivation,psychological quality of learning, self-awareness score of three dimensions were different, the differencewas statistically significant (P<0.05or P<0.01). 2. After the implementation of the nursing students mental quality training program, compared withbefore the implementation of students’ overall level of psychological quality improved significantly(P<0.01). Nursing undergraduate students in grades one, two, three, before the intervention and afterthe intervention, respectively were measured,after the intervention of the psychological qualities of threegrades were increased compared with before the intervention (P<0.01). Six dimensions of the scorebefore and after the intervention there were significant differences (P <0.05or P <0.01).3. Through surveys and feedback forms for students that participated in the psychologicalquality training, psychological quality levels improved significantly. Improve students’ self-awareness, increase self-confidence, Learn how to properly handle the problems in interpersonalrelationships, have strong anti setback capacity, enhance the professional cognitive and theability of active learning, have a deeper understanding to have good mental quality of theimportance for the future learning and work; the form of psychological quality training programsand the content are more satisfied with a higher sense of identity.Conclusions1. At present, the psychological quality of the nursing undergraduates at the middle level,higher nursing education should pay attention to the education of psychological quality fornursing undergraduate in quality education system.2. The psychological quality training program of nursing professional characteristics canimprove the psychological quality of the nursing undergraduates, enhance mental health, andcultivating vocational emotional, they learn to self-education, self-management, self-growth.3. The training program is rich in content and form is flexible, relaxed atmosphere and astrong appeal, more easily accepted by the students, and the efficiency of counseling is high, theresults are easy to consolidate, have far-reaching significance to the improvement of the students’mental quality.
