| With the popularity of Chinese Language all over the world, Language scholarsfrom home and abroad pay more and more attention to the subject of TCSOL(Teaching Chinese to the speakers of other languages). But, because our TCSOLundertakes started late, especially the overseas part, we don’t have enoughexperiences and methods of teaching Chinese abroad, our TCSOL undertakes is notmature enough, it still growing forward in the dark. In view of this, the writer tookthe opportunity to investigate and research the local Chinese class teaching ofprimary and secondary school while teaching Chinese in Victoria Australia as avolunteer in2011. With the experiences summed by our predecessors, the paper putforward some important Chinese class teaching methods and teaching strategieswhich should be used for the students whose mother language is English. The writerhopes that it can cause the concern of the people who engaged in overseas Chineseteaching and to provide a reference for the future TCSOL undertakes at home andabroad.The whole structure of the paper is as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the research background, purpose,significance, methods and some relative researches at home and abroad. The secondchapter discusses some relative theoretical foundation. The third chapter researchesand summarizes the local Chinese class teaching of primary and secondary school inVictoria Australia from the four steps of class teaching. Combines the previousexperiences the forth chapter put forward some important Chinese class teaching methods and teaching strategies which should be used in the abroad class. The lastchapter summarizes the main point, characteristics and shortages of the paper. |
