China is an ancient civilization with a long history over 5000 years. Its mysteryand old-aged civilization attract visitors from all over the world every year. Thegorgeous antiques that remain above and under the ground seem to be the saints whocome from the ancient with a lot of information of civilization.Translation of Chinese porcelains, with the purpose of transmitting andsignifying the traditional cultural heritage of a time-honored nation has an importantmeaning and thus deserves adequate attention. But after a brief study the author findsthat much more has to be done.The research is intended to study the traditional Chinese cultural imagesthrough analyzing the translated museum texts of Chinese porcelains in relation totheir shapes, times, techniques, and backgrounds.In this paper, the author wants to study the effect of skopos theory about thetranslators on choosing translation methods and translation process in practicaltranslation, especially the Vocative ones. |
