Ji Chun Tai is the last intended novel album in the Qing Dinasty.Its languages have the qualities of old sayings and new sayings. Also, there are large numbers of dialects of Sichuan in the book. Because of its verious language forms, it is very important for us to make a research of its pronunciation, vocabulary and grammer. Since now, there has been so many scholars who made much work on the research of the dialects and the collation of aicient books. And of course, they have achieved fruitful results. But we have to say that it is still very weak on grammer. So making a research of the adverbs in Ji Chun Tai can help us to improve our understanding of modern Chinese adverbs.In the introduction part, this paper first introduced the basic situation,research survey, the research significance and methods of Ji Chun Tai. And then we elaborated word category of Chinese adverbs and the determination standard of adverbs.In the theory part,we have done a careful investigation about the usages of adverbs in Ji Chun Tai. According to the differences of every adverb’s meanings and usages, we divided all the adverbs into six parts, for example, the scope of adverbs, degree adverbs, time and frequency adverbs, modal and way adverbs, modal adverbs and negative adverbs. Next, we made a detailed description one by one to illustrate the basic appearance and origins. From it, we can see that it is a relatively complete system not only from its quantity, but also from its usages.The final conclusion part, we made a summarize of its characteristics from the historical perspective, including the stability and development characteristics, the more phenomenon of adverbs used one by one and used in complex sentences and so on.
