Study On The Adjectives In Wu Yue Chun Qiu

As one of the most important content word in Chinese, adjective plays a decisive role in both ancient and modern Chinese language. The research will choose Wu Yue Chun Qiu as corpus data. By using statistics, classification, comparison and analysis, the research will give an in-depth introduction about the structures, functions and language usage in Wu Yue Chun Qiu.The research will be divided into five parts:Part one is the introduction,which will gives the reason of selecting the topic, a review about related research and research methodology.The second part will be concentrated on classifying the adjectives of Wu Yue Chun Qiu by monosyllable and multisyllable. On top of that, a comprehensive analysis will be applied to the classification. Moreover, a summary which contains the features of monosyllable and multisyllable adjectives of Wu Yue Chun Qiu will be presented.The third part is going to divide adjectives into characters adjectives and state adjectives, and give a further investigation regarding to their competency of acting as sentence elements, as well as the paralleling adjectives in Wu Yue Chun Qiu. In this part, the researcher will use relevant literature reviews to support the analysis.The fourth part, we will study the flexible use of adjectives in Wu Yue Chun Qiu, including an adjectives is changed into a noun, and an adjectives is changed into a verb. An adjectives is changed into a noun as the subject and the object; When an adjectives is changed into a verb, it includes three aspects:causative usage, conative usage and as a general verb.The last part of the research will give a conclusion about the structures, functions and language usage in Wu Yue Chun Qiu.
