Translation teaching has been widely concerned by the education sector, the theory community and the business sector, etc. However, studies of translation teaching have developed late in the translation studies and lack the systematic research. For a long period of time, the teaching system to meet the demands of high-quality translators has not been established in china. In2000, tertiary university syllabus for English majors pointed out that the development of science and technology and the coming information age provide the guarantee for the modern teaching means and provide abundant resource for English teaching. Teachers should adopt the modern, diversified and comprehensive teaching mode to explore and develop the computer-aided teaching by fully using the electronic equipments. The computer network system, optical data centers and multi-media learning center renew the teaching content to cultivate students’effective learning strategies and improve the teaching proficiency.In2009, the study of the application of the modern education technology into the teaching had been paid great attention; computer technology is widely used in the translation teaching. Yuan Binye pointed out that the combination of the information technology with translation teaching was the popular trend of teaching translation. Besides, the constructive theory was popular. In the1990s, the constructive theory was popular in the west. According to the constructive theory, students acquire the knowledge not by the instruction of the teachers. With the assistance of teachers and peers, students could construct their knowledge by using the learning materials and information resources including the text materials, books, videos, CAI and the multimedia, and information on the Internet. Students could show their initiative and creativity to achieve their learning goals under the learning environment which is with real situation, cooperation, communication and the meaning construction.The advantage of translation teaching based on the constructive theory under the multimedia and the network environment is that it changes the traditional role of teachers and students. The interactive teaching mode in the multimedia and network environment infuses the energy to the translation teaching and practice. In the previous studies, most translation teaching studies are focused on the reasonable and feasible research on translation teaching under the multimedia. However, the study of teaching translation under the multi-media and the network based on the constructive theory is relatively few. Therefore, this thesis analyzes the result of the application of multi-media and the network in the teaching translation. This thesis aims at the construction of the professional translation teaching, analyze the problems of the translation teaching under the multimedia and the Internet and identify the appropriate solution.
