Interest principle theory is an important part of the theory of Teaching Chinese asForeign Language. Many experts and scholars attach great importance to the interestprinciple theory, for the boring teaching contents are the common phenomenon in teachingChinese as Foreign Language. To foreign pre-school children, the special group in theChinese teaching, learning Chinese is quite an arduous and boring process. They will havea fear of difficulty, if it is coupled with the classes that are stagnant and lack of humorsense. Therefore, we should take advantage of children’s psychological characteristics andinterest principle theory so that the students will enjoy learning, eager to learn, and like touse Chinese. By doing this, they will better acquire Chinese.In the first chapter of this thesis, the concept, features and necessity of the interestprinciple theory are introduced from the theoretical level. The second chapter analysessuperficially the status quo and misunderstanding of the interest principle theory inteaching Chinese as Foreign Language by observing specific theory of biomechanics. Thethird chapter puts forward the coping strategies for the problems mentioned in chapter two.It is mainly about how to improve the interest in the textbooks and classroom teaching ofChinese to foreign pre-school children. The methods used in this chapter are observationand experience conclusion.
