A qualified elementary teacher, educated by Primary Education Majors in Normal Universities, is supposed to be competent enough to teach in primary schools. He or she should be an all-subject teacher of primary school who equipped with a wonderful sensation of art and the ability of art teaching, meeting the demands not only required by the basic subjects in primary schools, but also by the development of art education. Nevertheless, here comes an reality when the limited elementary teachers who major in Primary Education in Normal Universities cannot satisfy the huge demands required by the art teaching in primary schools. The facts that the absence of qualified primary art teachers as well as the lagging development of art education are unallowable to be neglected. In such a context, it will surely have positive significances as well as realistic values to develop a scientific and deepgoing research on the construction and implementation of dance curriculum system provided by Primary Education in Normal Universities, which target on cultivating full-time or part-time art teachers for primary schools.The courses of dance teaching in primary school education opened by the Primary Education at Normal Universities have some special properties on the curriculum objects and the course goals. The dance teaching in this area is quite important for elementary teachers, including both the full-time and part-time teachers who are competent enough for teaching dancing lessons in primary schools to foster a positive and healthy personality, at the same time, it is also helpful for the primary school teachers to meet the new requirements according to the standards of New Curriculum Reform and the disciplines of primary art education so as to improve the quality of their teaching methods. However, through the theoretical analysis and field survey, it can be found that the courses of dance teaching in primary school education opened by the Primary Education at Normal Universities are quite vague on course goals, inappropriate on the design of content as well as the teaching model, and insufficient on the quantity of classes. From the point of this thesis’s view, all these problems are caused by the following facts:The Normal Universities misunderstand the idea of cultivating qualified primary teachers, those schools are eager for quick success and instant benefits; some teachers do not have a scientific and deepgoing perceptions towards elementary education; besides, some students have the prejudice on the value of dance classes, which weakened their motivations of learning.Through a review of dance teaching courses opened by primary education of Normal Universities, the thesis has pointed out four principles on construction of course system, they are principles of accordance, scientific, comprehensiveness, and progressive on logic; at the same time, the thesis makes it clear that the three goals of dance curriculum of primary education in Normal university, which including knowledge and abilities、process and methods emotional attitude and value, so as to build a course model which majors in required courses and complemented by optional courses including the coordination of " appreciation ","learning","innovation " as well as "teaching."In the end, the thesis has appointed out some specific methods to fulfill the course system of dance in primary education. First of all, teachers should all have an appropriate attitude and idea towards teaching; Then, the four-step teaching model which is suitable for the dance lessons in primary education should be adopted; Next, the teaching method should base on a firsthand and extemporaneous way which combined the knowledge of textbooks with specific situations; Finally, the Normal Universities should develop the appropriate textbooks, improve the quality of teachers as well as the infrastructure and basic hardware for dance teaching are needed to make sure the efficiency and success of courses of dance teaching in the Primary education at Normal Universities.
