As a kind of parallel saying, idiomatic phrase play an important role in modern Chinese vocabulary unit. Chinese idiomatic phrase comes from daily communication, the way of oral and written language spread to nowadays. Idiom have apparent oral character and powerful cultural character. This paper attempts to use Cultural linguistics and comparative linguistics theory, Contrast similarities and differences between Mongolian and Chinese idioms. The focus of this thesis is the comparison of the Mongolian and Chinese idioms and strategies of teaching Chinese idioms in Mongolian university. This article’s innovative is advocates the Chinese phrase used in Chinese language teaching in Mongolia, teaching of idioms in the Chinese language teaching in Mongolia has not received due attention. This article considers Chinese idioms teaching is not only can teach Mongolian student knowledge of Chinese culture, but also able to enhance their Chinese communicative competence. This article has four chapters:Chapter one:introduction of the reason for the choice, the analyses of problems and the concept, research methodology and theoretical basis. Chapter two:cultural meaning of the Mongolian and Chinese idioms from the four aspects of food, clothing, artifacts, beliefs, ethnic and psychological characteristics. Chapter three is comparative analysis of the three angles on Mongolian and Chinese phrase structure, meaning, pragmatics. Chapter four is attempt of Chinese idioms and cultural pedagogy, contrast method, context training, teaching methods as a strategy for the teaching of the Mongolian Chinese idiom, and concludes with teaching suggestions.
