An important part of tourism, the cultural tourism has been developed mature gradually in the recent years. As the physical living standard of the people is being continually raised, their spiritual life is getting richer. It is reflected in the field of tourism that culture has more and more values added to tourist attractions. There are native relations between culture, literature and tourism. Literary outputs increase unique cultural connotations to natural and human landscapes they describe, making the landscapes possess tourist values with peculiar fascination and tourist appeal from a deeper level.The Xianheng Hotel is located in Shaoxing, the hometown of Lu Xun, a great master of literature. Because Lu Xun mentioned it in his works several times, such as Kong Yiji, Tomorrow, Disturbance, etc., the Hotel has quickly become a widely-known tourist hot spot and has been a visiting card of Shaoxing tourism. The current Xianheng is not only a restaurant but also a tourist complex through development for years, which has incorporated key elements of tourism, having fully inherited and promoted the culture, and being original in its development mode.In this article the development of literary tourist products is discussed from the angle of the literary context. Through analysis of the bonding point between literary work and literary tourism, the development is explored of literary tourist products under the existing social situation, and it is further discussed how to exploit the literary-context-based cultural tourist resources to be cultural tourist products so as to promote the development of cultural tourism. Finally, a demonstration analysis is carried out with the Shaoxing Xianheng Hotel taken for example. The analysis includes six parts: Part I introduces the research background, research contents and significances, and research thinking and method in this article, as well as the research status quo at home and abroad.Part Ⅱ mainly defines such concepts as "cultural tourism","cultural tourist resource""cultural tourism products" and other related ones, and expounds the theoretical basis, assessment system and assessment methods for the development of cultural tourism products.Part Ⅲ focuses description on the relations between literary works and cultural tourism products, stressing analysis on the tourist values of literary works.Part Ⅳ emphasizes elaboration on the categories, patterns and stages of developing cultural tourism products as well as on the types, development principles and procedures of literary-context-based cultural tourism products.Part Ⅴ leads in the Shaoxing Xianheng Hotel as example. Through analyses and discussions on its history, current situation and development philosophy, RMP analysis is made over the Xianheng Hotel; and then it is proposed how to make accurate positioning of cultural tourism products developed mainly dependent on the context of Lu Xun’s literary works, and the regional influence of Lu Xun’s literary works are analyzed; finally, some suggestions are raised for the development of the Hotel.The last part summarizes the whole research work of this article, finding out deficiencies and innovative aspects and envisions the perspective of the research.Catching hold of the new opportunity of Shaoxing whole city tourism, the Xianheng Hotel should further bring the boosting role of the culture into play, integrate the brand resources of Xianheng, and carry forward institutional and managerial innovations in order to make the Hotel become a more influential tourist destination.
