There are two morphological types of modern Chinese comedy. The one is humor which contains wit, the other is satire. Both the gentle wisdom humor and the spicy sharp satire morphological have profound sociality and aesthetic. From the social angle, the purpose of humor is to praise the beauty of humankind, the satire take up the historical mission of pull the country out of fire. That is the difference in social utility of the two types of comedy. In spite of this; however, they show the same attitude in anti-feudal, they have to expose and criticism of feudal tradition.From the aesthetic angle, humor and satirical art have the use of artistic techniques in common. However, humor and satire comedy either from the form of the perspective or from the aesthetic pursuit show different. Humor is often aim at the ugly object which with beauty essence. Playwright use the inward aesthetic perspective to view the object, in the process, the subject often voted to sympathy pity feelings resulting in a gentle, wise smile to the object. The satire style seems the denial people and objects as the subject of comedy, then view the social reality with skeptical, rational and critical. In the process, the subject keeps distance with the object. This type of comedy writer is standing in a rational height to view the darkness of the social, convey the laugh with spicy and sharp. From the social and aesthetic of modern Chinese comedy, we can found that, on one hand, the two kinds of comedy forms have unique, on the other hand have universal.
