This paper concentrates on the special type of characters, mainly complains and discusses the structures and ideographic styles of this special type of characters, and also provides an account of revolution of this type of characters to analyze its development.The paper is divided into four chapters:The first part is the introduction, which is mainly introduced the object and scope of this paper, the present situation, main research methods and the significance.The second part focuses on the structure of the same symbol-joint character. It can be classified by the symbols of component and the position of each symbol. In general, the relative position of the component plays the role of the difference between the same symbol-joint characters.The third chapter mainly discusses ideographic type. The same symbol-joint characters indicate the amount, the state to strengthen or weaken, the nature, the extent and on.The last part of the paper mainly discusses the evolution. Most of the same symbol-joint characters was replaced by other simple formation characters because of its inevitable shortcomings.
