The main object of the paper which discusses is based on the recent ten-year discussion and practices of teaching methods of Two-dimensional Design Basis of many teachers, together with the achievement of Zheng Meijing’s over the years front line of teaching thinking and exploration on Two-dimensional Design Basis. Zheng Meijing and her graduate student team have made many contributions on researching and trying of new teaching method and idea, and proposed Two-dimensional Design Basis teaching philosophy.Because I stand in the position of a direct participant, and personal experience the first practice this two-dimensional teaching methodin two-dimensional curriculum. So I can integrate and combed this stage research results of Two-dimensional Design Basis new teaching method in theory. In the meantime, I also record my impressional result and experience.The thesis first introduces the germ of teaching method and idea theoretical basis of Two-dimensional Design Basis. New teaching methods Two-dimensional Design Basis is the result and extension products of research and exploration on Two-dimensional Design Basis. Two-dimensional Design Basis new teaching philosophy combine regularity research with the possibility expansion of design practices, make the discrete graphics evolved to the "pattern". So it advance a new and different teaching method on Two-dimensional Design.In this paper, I analysis on Two-dimensional Design Basis new teachi ng method from five innovational points of view, which is exploring elements from new perspective, expressing elements from new method, organizing elements from new order, applying color form new vigours and emerge "pattern" from new effect.
